In October of 1994 a group of us who were living in Nepal took five motorcycles on a road trip from Kathmandu to Lhasa, Everest base camp and back to Kathmandu.  These were the first motorcycles to make it to Mount Everest base camp, North Face.

All of the shots were taken with either a Leica M4-P with a 50mm 1.4 Summilux lens or a Zone VI field camera with a 210 Schneider lens.  Ilford XP2 was used in the Leica but unfortunately it showed mottling in the sky areas of some of the images.  This was caused either by the altitude, or more likely, by the Kathmandu processing lab.
